My Professional Journey
Adas Israel (Washington, DC)
As Musician and T'filah Educator, I delve into text and liturgy with students in the Religious School from K-6th Grade. We Pause, Sing, Listen and Move as we lean into worshipful moments together. I teach Jewish ritual essentials to the 6th Graders and run the Mah Tovu service, a Saturday morning Shabbat experience for families with Young children. I provide support for the family and High Holy Day services and assist in the Youth Programming
Temple Beth Ami (Rockville, MD)
As clergy partner to Rabbi Gary Pokras, Rabbi Baht Weiss and apprentice to Cantor Larry Eschler, I had first-hand experience leading B'nai Mitzvah services, designing creative worship moments and transitioning to a virtual model through zoom. I also had the opportunity to write and co-direct the family-friendly Purim Spiel called "Seasons of Love" with music from the show Rent.
Isaac M. Wise Temple (Cincinnati, OH)
For three years, I had the opportunity to work as Songleader and Director of Youth Engagement. In that time, I worked with Rabbi Karen Thomashow to pilot the Yofi Shababa service for young families. I worked with Rabbi Michael Danziger to create worship for teenagers, and led creative worship with Rabbi Lewis Kamrass and Rabbi Elana Perry. I worked for two Summers at GUCI. I was a songleader and helped campers find connections to the prayers.
Larchmont Temple (Larchmont, NY)
I worked as Music and T'filah Coordinator for Larchmont Temple and had the unique pleasure of working with Rabbi Jeffrey Sirkman, Rabbi Bethie Miller, Cantor Tracey Scher and Rabbi Eve Rudin Kleinman. It was during this time that I grew to love making music for Nursery School age children.
Congregation Beth Emeth (Newark, DE)
While I was studying at University of Delaware, I became the Songleader for Congregation Beth Emeth. I had the pleasure of working with Cantor Mark Stanton and Rabbi Yair Robinson. I spent most of my time as a wandering minstrel leading music on Sundays.
